Here's a perfect example...
of "How To Use The Web" to get "OffLine" business;
My partner and I sell advertising on Visitor Center Information Boards. These Boards go in Visitor Centers and Chamber of Commerce. They have a Map and a PHONE so visitors can make a reservation at a local Hotel or Motel. We sell these spaces to local Hotels and Motels and Restaurants and other businesses who want to reach tourists. Each space goes for about $1,000 a year and the businesses wanting to reach tourists, ESPECIALLY the lodges....GLADLY pay the fee. We can fit 30 to 40 ads on each Board so the thing is HIGHLY PROFITABLE.....PLUS....it is RENEWABLE....meaning at renewal time we usually just send out invoices. Here's where the Web comes in; We call the Owners or Managers of prospective advertisers and....most times....while we are on the phone explaining our program...we ask the prospect to GO UP TO OUR WEBSITE and take a look at what we are talking about. MANY sales are closed right there...on the phone, without having to see the prospect. So...our website is a wonderful "SALES TOOL" making it a lot easier and less time consuming to get sales.
