Just saying hello

Hello everyone

I stumbled across this forum while looking for small business message boards. I am a big reader of books about the wisdom of building wealth, ie. Napoleon Hill, Robert Kiyosaki, Wallace D. Wattles, etc. I look forward to participating here.

Regards
Tamara

As Hemingway said: "A clean, well-lighted place"

Hi,

Hemingway's description fits this forum well.

The moderators do a great job of keeping it that way. (I'm not a moderator, I just spend way too much time reading and posting here.)

Old-timers on the forum scene such as myself, Dien, Ross, Marye, Gordon, Makowski, TLC, Mel., Erik, Julie, Don, Rick, Winicki, Andy, Cornell, Amber, Bradshaw, Ed, I'd better stop listing names, those are the ones that first popped into my head (and anyway there are too many to list), anyway, us old-timers-on-the-scene have been around the block a few million times, seems like--scammers and poseurs Please take note.

All of which is my long-winded way of saying "glad you stopped by."

Best,

- Boyd

Welcome Tamara, I'm glad you stopped by, and

I hope you'll stick around!

We often talk about books like that.... If you search through the archives, you can find discussions we've had about Kiyosaki, Napoleon Hill, and many others. :)

The way I view this forum is a bit like a cafe... We're all sitting around, comfortable, enjoying a good chat. Sometimes we agree, sometimes we disagree, but in the end we all leave hopefully wiser, and with stimulating things to think about! (And better at business too....)

I personally find business a fascinating topic. In fact, it's a passion.... I love to understand things (I am insatiably curious), and apply those things to bear fruit.

There are a bazillion ways to do business, but I think almost all of those bazillion ways have many fundamentals in common.... Reading the posts of the various wise friends here certainly have helped me in my quest for understanding and for success in business.... And I hope we can all travel on the same journey!

The short version is - welcome! :)

Forget Hemmingway...

this is just the best board around

(sorry Boyd...thats what you get for calling me an old timer you called me an old timer:o)

I'm sure I'm not the only one that can sense the 'personality' of a board.

It's not just about the owners but a testament the whole community that use it

Andy

Tamara, Welcome to "a clean, well-lighted place", & wise too.

I have to agree with all the comments about this great board.

There is some unique, "hard to put your finger on" quality & personality here. That is not to put down any other great boards, but there is something different here. I can't quite find a word for it, maybe "refined" is close.

Thanks Dien & Michael, Gordon & all the regulars, for this place and all the wisdom shared here.

PS: Are there one or two "m"s in Hemmingway? :-)

PPS: Just don't mention mlm to Michael. :-) :-)

Unlimited Dial-up for $12.95 & great DSL too!
