A Great New Resource and a Great Cause
 

I'm very careful about the references I give to resources I find. The main reason is because much of what I see just doesn't live up to its promise. Well, I have a pleasant surprise for you. I just finished reading a new book by Joel Christopher and George McKenzie. It's called "Mining Online Gold with an Offline Shovel." All I can say is WOW!!!

George and Joel took the book to #2 on the Amazon best seller list on March 27th. The book that beat it? One of the Harry Potter books! Joel's book didn't immediately ship. Turns out Amazon *seriously* underestimated the demand. The first printing has already sold out. Joel said last night that they're about to do a second printing. One of the bonuses for buying on that date was a PDF copy of the book. I started reading it. I got a little over half
way through. Well, the hardcopy book arrived yesterday. I couldn't quit reading. I woke up at 4:30 am this morning and couldn't go back to sleep. I finished the book before I got up to start my daily activities. My mind was absolutely on FIRE with the possibilities!

As many of you know, I'm no stranger to marketing information. I've invested thousands of dollars in my marketing education. I have courses and information from the best in the business. I personally know some of today's top marketers. I've even had a tour of SCI which is owned by Ben Suarez. (SCI almost *never* grants tours.) My point is this. It takes a lot for me to be impressed by marketing products because most of what is touted as new is really just a rehash of the same old stuff.

"Mining Online Gold with an Offline Shovel" is not like that. George and Joel reveal strategy after strategy. I thought I knew something about marketing but these guys opened my eyes to some concepts I've never thought of. I will definitely be using some of the techniques to drive traffic to this board and to expand my own lists.

And I can also tell you this. Joel Christopher and George McKenzie now have a place in my office next to John Caples, Victor Schwab, and Dan Kennedy.

Let me close by saying this. For anyone who hasn't bought the book, just spend the money and buy it. It will be the best $14.95 you spend on your marketing education this year. And quite frankly, if you can't find techniques in this book that you can use to expand your online business, you better get to your doctor right away so he can check your pulse!
