Coffee Dropshipping idea? Advice?

Hello all! needed some advice. I am considering doing a coffee dropship business.
The company will also allow you to put your own label on the coffee. It can be sold by net, to local businesses and fundraising. What would be a good way to market this coffee? It has many different flavors. Is this a good product to sell?
Or is coffee basically something people will only buy at the store?

Thanks for your opinions...

There are more and more coffee drinkers. Ever go to a college town and notice all the coffee shops, very popular with younger crowd that will most likely be coffee drinkers for life.

Is there a market for private label coffee? yes very possibly although flavors probably are similar to what is out there already. One thing that sways purchasers is the package design and labeling.

2 examples I can think of where fancy bottles and labeling sell a product probably no better than cheaper brands are
Sammy Hagar Cabo Wabo tequila. Average tequila but has celebrity name and fancy bottle with a very high price tag.

Other product is many of the bottled waters, many have mountain spring in the name giving impression of purity. Purified water with fancy name and label sways buyers to pay more.

So in closing is there a market for private label coffee, you bet just have to get creative with name, packaging and promotion. Of course coffee flavor has to be appealing.

Hello Big Mac,

I would think coffee would sell online; recently, I just found out that Amazon.com sells coffee, as well as other food items, so if you market it well and follow mtran2000 and Phil's advice, I think you could do well in that business. Good luck with that! Let us know how it works out for you!

Take care and have a great day!

Sincerely,

Big Mac....How does coffee taste ?

Bic Mac: Have you tried their coffee? Is it any good? Could you share the name of company that drop ships it. This could be a great idea for a friend of mine locally in Wisconsin that needs some extra cash. Thanks, Dave

Actually, I haven't tried it yet so I don't want to disclose too much else yet. They have been around for about 14 years. I have ordered some free samples. But here is how they work. They have several brands of coffee and Tea and give you the wholesale rates. YOu can sell anyway you want. You can sell by net, sell to gift stores to businesses for their employees and fundraising. You can submit your label and address. They will package your coffee with your own name and label so customers can't go to the supplier and must go directly to you. They also have allow you to just order the beans and you can package them yourself if you want. The wife and I are big coffee lovers so I will wait till I try it first.

Hey Dave,

One thing that will help you in your search is the Coffee Forum. I notice that several of the members will dropship products.

Another source is: Coffee & Tea Warehouse.

Good luck.

Pete
