Recently I searched for some help with shipping some high end fragile
items and came across this boxful of info products soley dedicated to the Packing Professional.

You might get some ideas for a second business that compliments your first
one if it heavily involves packing and shipping.

Also it's more proof that you can probably niche just about anything.

I wonder if a lot of eBayers buy this...

I'm not doing much eBay at the moment, but when I did more eBay selling in the past, I found packaging and shipping could take up quite a bit of time. I could imagine info-products about effective shipping (and how to streamline the whole operation) could really be useful to some folks who do a lot of it...

Jim - I know what you mean; I had to mail a package for a friend of mine at the UPS store, and it took them about 15-20 minutes in order to complete the process. It only took me about 3-5 minutes to fill out the form (my friend wanted me to ship a package for him to another state, so I had to carefully fill out the form according to his instructions,) but I stood there for a while waiting for them to finish the packing process.

I too was amazed - UPS, one of the leaders in the shipping industry, being pretty disorganized. Glad to see you have the process down more to a science - I'm sure it reflects in the business you do as well! :-)

Jim, somebody there missed the boat. You got your money out of it but what about the folks who bought it and closed it? Did they even consider contacting UPS (or other processors) to foster interest in a 'once and done' , well-organized system? Seems to me they just might have been interested if it was presented properly. They could've sold the setup to be moved, or just the layout and plans at least.

Y'know, if you wrote about the setup that you had and provided some basic drawings, pictures, ect, you could probably sell a how-to book or booklet about the way it was setup and the methods used etc. Be sure to include a list of resources for the supplies and list of vendors.

If nothing else, a hotsheet idea?

Guess I'm on a roll or something...LOL

Got to thinking that a modified version, or customized versions, of what you had there might solve a lot of problems for retailers who do a lot of wrapping and shipping.

I used to work for a retail store that sold fountains, artwork, just about anything related to the outdoors as far as decorations or wildlife supplies etc. I/we were constantly having to custom-size cut and tape boxes and wrappings for some pretty tough to wrap stuff.

There were several other shops in the mall that sold art pieces, canvases, and even high-end books that could've used the resources if they'd been set up nearby instead of risking product destruction by hauling them to another location through huge crowds of tourists.

Guess I just see lots of opportunity there.
