Greedy & Paranoid.
 

Most discussion groups rely heavily on their regular contributors to keep the peace, answer questions and help out in general and yes the payoff for that is often free linking.

If the board you regularly helped out at stopped you from adding your link, how long would you keep helping out?

Sure there’s a want inside most of us to help others for nothing more than making us feel good, but to deny people who help you, some kind of reward just because your paranoid of competition……is asking for trouble.

If your product is good enough (well targeted and well marketed) then it should survive regardless of the competition.

I think any Guru who enforces a total link ban is greedy and paranoid and like I said…….asking for trouble.
