ebooks??
 

I have written a manual on public speaking for profit, pleasure and personal power, as a response to frequent requests I receive, from people in my audiences and those who email me, for such information. I would like to offer it for sale as a digital product but have absolutely no idea of how or where to begin. At present it is on a floppy disk as a word perfect document.When I receive an order for the manual I just run a copy off and package it nicely for sale. I am at a loss as to how to proceed digitally. If anyone can help me by offering suggestions I would appreciate it.Mike Moore

Hi Mike!

A very popular format right now for ebooks is PDF format. That's the format that Remote Hypnosis (Gordon's ebook) is in, and a whole heap of other ebooks too....

You can create your own PDF files from a Word file. To do it professionally I think you really need to get Adobe Acrobat software.... Other software (including free software you can download) does exist to create PDF files, but my *expectation* is that they are probably not as flexible as Adobe Acrobat is, since Adobe invented the format....

If you need any help with this, just let me know! Alternatively, I could help create your PDF ebook for you for free (no strings attached).... Just contact me.... :)

Dien, Thanks for the response. I have heard about pdf files but know nothing about how they work etc. I would love to have your help. How do I get the manual to you? I have a bit more to add to the manuscript as a result of readers questions but that won't take me long to do. Gordon mentioned that you might be interested in selling the manual from sowpub. What fee would you charge per sale for this service. Would like to sell it from a site other than my own as well. Let me know how I proceed. Thanks again, Mike Moore

Okay, I could handle everything here and you could sell it from your web site too.... In this kind of arrangement (a non-exclusive one, because I wouldn't have any exclusivity) I'd pay 50% royalty to you per copy that I sold....

If you gave me an exclusive (that is, I am the only one selling it online), I'd pay you a 70% royalty....

But nevertheless, I'm still happy to help you too with creating a PDF file, no strings attached.... :)

I'll respond in more detail in email, but the short answer is that Sowpub officially opened a little bit over one month ago, and is still growing, and it is already profitable....
