Here are my thoughts on any type of trading --

First of all, it's important to have patience, and not to panic when you see the price of your shares plummeting down to the depths of a well.

Secondly, you need to have a strategy for when you're down in the depth of the well, of how to climb back up the well.

Thirdly, don't fall in love with your shares. Have a loose relationship so you can ditch them at any time.

And always remember, the trend is your friend, and don't forget to follow the trend, or you'll be swept away.

But if you want to get somewhere quickly, you still have to speculate if you want to accumulate.
