I Need a Niche Topic - Thoughts, Please
 

I want to create a blog for my articles. So far I've been writing on numerous topics, but I want to narrow it down. I have a friend who's doing one on making money online, and this seems the most profitable. But I don't know if I should do it on that, or something else that's more unique.

I want to be able to make money off of the blog and I want people to return and view it often. Any suggestions?

With 401,762 or 21,800,000 making money online Blogs... Depending on who you Ask... :)

I wouldn't recommend touching the Topic...

Unless you've got a Unique idea, maybe Focusing on Particular business types, Niche Demographics etc...

With Proven case studies... Creative Money making and Revenue that you're ready & willing to Start Sharing with your readers... ;)

Griff, Let me add a couple of ideas...
 

Great question and terrific advice and resources given already.

What I did a couple of years ago was a mashup between and article directory
and a blog. I took a niche topic and added a ton of free content then blogged about that content.
It has become my highest traffic and best converting site. (Click to see the article directory/blog mashup)

Since its launch, I've been using Entrecard to find ideas for niche sites and
new approaches for marketing to those niches.
I just login and check the new blogs in each category, then I'll check for
the most popular blogs and the most recommended blogs in each category.
The good ones go in my contact file for link exchange and joint venture possibilities.
