Alright... I kind of did this backwards by developing the product first and then trying to figure out how to reach the target market...

I developed a maketing course that shows web designers/developers how to make good money designing web sites for local businesses. (See below).

I was wondering if anyone can recommend good discussion forums or web resources where professional web designers hang out and chat, online.

Dont get me wrong at the peak I was selling them like hotcakes and I still get orders (also at $97 most days) http://www.sellmoresites.com

I think I was lucky as I was in the market at the time when there were lots of individuals trying to make it as web designers. Now, following the dot bomb crash and the subsequent 'correction' that volume is much reduced.

Being totally frank I'm now certain there are better uses of the internet as a medium for offline businesses than web sites....after all I am active in the field and still 95% of business owners that I talk to say that their sites have not made them any money.

But if I was to do it now here's what I'd do...

1. Find someone like me with a list that is your target market. Unfortunately I am launching a competitor alternative product to a similar market so I dont think there is any scope for us to JV.

2. There are lots of webmaster sites and web design advice sites you could either advertise at or JV with. eg what about an ad on elance or other high traffic site that exists to help developers find work?
Or how about an affliate that sells new copies of dreamweaver or adobe etc
Another example would be Milana Leshinsky's site that helps aspiring web designers. She often does solo mailings to her list
3. Its hard to succeed with keywords and the search engines. Web designers hate the sales and marketing parts of their business but ironically dont want outside help so wont look for it.

So in conclusion I'd stick with JV's and ads.
