A Question For Someone Knowledgeable About Pegasus Mail
I've got a quirk with Pegasus that I'd like to get rid of.
Somehow, a blank message got into the mail queue. When I say "blank", I mean no address in the "send to" window, no subject and no message. Totally blank. How it got into the queue, I don't know. Perhaps I had a blank message open when the computer froze up or something like that? The problem is this: Every time I send off an email, this blank message is "sent" also --- but since it is blank, it doesn't go anywhere (I presume). So if I am sending 1 email, because this blank message also "goes" at the same time, Pegasus says I am sending 2 emails --- every time! I can go into the queue and "send" this blank message by itself, and it "goes" (again to nowhere, I presume). But even though it has been "sent", it remains in the queue! I can also delete this blank message from the queue, and it will obligingly disappear from the queue window. However, when I close the queue window and re-open it, the blank message is still there! Pesky little guy! Any ideas on how to delete this blankity-blank blank message from the queue? Thanks, ---- Hugh |

I had exactly the same problem. Try this and it should get rid of it... Do a search of your hard drive for any *PMW and *.PMX files. These are the extentions that PEgasus uses for emails. You should find 1 file with a weird name with either one of these extensions. Open this file using your word pad program, if the file is blank, delete it, that is your pesky blank email and by deleting it you should fix the Pegasus problem. Nobody seems to know why Pegasus does this, I guess it's just a bug in the software. Alex Turn Words Into Traffic! |
Perfect! Blank Email Gone . . . Thanks Alex! (DNO)
