My Son (a minor) Wants incorportate to Follow Me in an online business
He is only 15 and can only join this online program if he is somehow a legal business entity since he is too young to participate on his own or even with my approval.
Does anyone have any experience or knowledge of how a minor can become a corporation, perhaps as an LLC or something like that? Thanks, Jerry |

What online program is that?
Most online websites are above-13. Only if they have to make a payment do they require above 18. But even then, you can convince most of them to let your son work their site / system and make the payments in your name. |

Could just be a drive by self-promotion spam type Question... Hopefully not...
But to keep things interesting and some food for thought... If you're in the US... It's in here somewhere... As Ankesh suggested... Help your son get started with the details in your name... Just make sure you put together a well thought out Legal Agreement... http://www.entrepreneur.com/formnet/legalforms.html As Kids today are Getting Smarter by the minute, especially once they get a taste of Entrepreneurship... :) Bet the Internet's going to Grow a whole new Trend on “Mega” Kid business success stories as the internet evolves in the next few years... ;) http://www.usa.gov/Business/Business_Gateway.shtml http://www.business.gov/guides/busin...ion/index.html http://www.sba.gov/smallbusinessplan...-Federal-_-SBA Phil |

Thanks, guys, for your responses.
Here in Colorado I found out those under 18 must be co-signed with a parent/guardian but it looks like the online legal services don't do well with that sort of thing so we may have to go through an attorney, which I was really hoping to avoid. Other states may be different and I have yet to decide which to check in to. If you have ideas of which states may be best to incorporate in, let me know. Thanks, Jerry |
