If you're on this list you just got shot down...

If you're on the following (shortened) list, you just shot yourself in the foot or were shot down by Autocontactor:

Jim Daniels (2 of your lists)
'Adam Ginsberg'
Solution Box (David Wood)
Cancer Defeated
Milana Leshinsky (not the gmail one)
Stephen Pierce
Rick Frishman
Christian Goodman
Keith Matthew
Jack Humphrey

These were FORCED UNSUBSCRIBES because I needed to take between 15 and 20 unneeded and unwanted any longer ones off the server blocks as I had too many there after so many years. To bring things into line, I was forced to use the only unsubscribe option offered which was to unsubscribe to all and be put on their do not mail list. So, you lose twice: not only was I automatically dumped off your list but I can no longer get mail from you since Autocontactor will not send anything to me so re-subscribing is not an option.

Now a question for you: why, with all the decent options out there today would any sensible entrepreneur choose to lose subscribers they've worked hard to get? Illogical, IMHO.

That's funny! I belong to several of your mentioned lists, and I haven't had any problems at all, Sandi.

In fact, I received an email from Stephen Pierce about an hour ago.

If I had stayed subscribed to all the lists, including the ones I needed to get off the server, there would be no problem for me, either, Pete.

Once in a great while they'd offer a direct unsub from a list option but 99% of the time it was the 'remove from entire database and place on our no mailing list' as the only option. That was the only choice I had. I did not, and have not, unsubscribed directly from any on the list, nor do I wish to. According to autocontactor's statements, I will not be able to receive any email through them so...I'm just taking them at their word, Pete.

I still see no reason why anyone who wants to protect their list would put up with autocontactor's ridiculous B.S. Yes, I have purchased from most of the folks on that list so they are, in fact, losing money as well as subscribers. Some of them I have been with for many years. Is that any way to treat your subscribers? I think not!

Sorry, but I fail to see the humor in it.
