Craigslist Templates?
Does anyone know where to get the craigslist templates to take your boring ads from this:
http://spokane.craigslist.org/ctd/810992202.html To this: http://spokane.craigslist.org/ctd/810225763.html I can’t seem to find any. Thank You, Jason Hatchett |
Re: Craigslist Templates?
Hi, Jason - one way to do it is to view the source code of the ad which you like and substitute your information for theirs. These folks have used a standard html template with tables, columns and rows and put in links to their images, etc.
Hope that helps Margaret |

Re: Craigslist Templates?
This isn't a template source, but I recently learned a trick with CL posting. Here is an example of a post I made:
http://stgeorge.craigslist.org/bfs/811112253.html To do this you'd either need to know html (which I don't) or have a good software program for creating web pages. I have Dreamweaver, which allows me to create the page in design mode (graphical interface), then switch to html view - which lists the html code. So...I created the graphic you see linked above as a web page, and uploaded the page to my server. Then I copied the code from Dreamweaver and pasted it into the post area of Craigslist. (I make this sound harder than it really is!) The benefit - I have full control of what I put up, I can change it at will - and I don't have to pay anyone to do it for me. The down side ... you have to have a website and software that lets you view and copy code after creating it. Hope this helps... |
Here's what Remi did in plain speak...
Created an html table with a few rows. Within that table placed various graphics in the different rows and table cells. The graphics all come from remi's website.
As MMacGillivray said... when you see an ad you like the look of, have a look at the Page Source to see what the code was they used. Then use the same layout code but replace their content with Your content. Or start from scratch. Do a Google for How To Make a HTML Tables. Or visit Joe Barta's page at http://www.pagetutor.com/html_tutor/index.html and go through the first few lessons - make sure you learn tables. Joe's had these lessons available for yonks. You don't need any complicated software to make a webpage - even an alright looking one. Just a text software - such as notepad that comes with windows or any text software - there are plenty of free ones. And the knowledge of some basic html. Michael Ross |
Re: Craigslist Templates?
I found this company http://www.classifiedflyerads.com that have better flyers than Vflyer.com and they even have a spot where you can make your own from scratch, similar to MS Word. But they informed me that it is against CraigsList rules to be a posting agent. But you could charge $10 to create the flyer for CraigsList, but they would have to post the ad themselves. I don’t know how CL could enforce this.

Re: Craigslist Templates?
Is craigslist even still a viable advertising source with all the phone verification required to post in certain sections and all the flagging that's going on?
