Another "pay what you feel" business that seems to be working out...

In the past, we've talked about "pay what you feel" businesses...

For example, check out this thread from a few months ago...

Here's another unusual example...

A pay-what-you-want Santa!

As you can imagine, some Santas are having tough times, with the general economic downturn... But one Santa has said that business has never been better!

Here's what one article says about him...

Quote:

Ken Gresk, a 69-year-old retired schoolteacher who lives in Manchester, Conn., is one Santa who is thriving despite the tough economic climate.

“Business has never been better,” said Mr. Gresk, who estimates that he sees 2,000 children each holiday season, primarily at private parties and special functions.

Mr. Gresk said that an unusual business strategy has a lot to do with his recession-proof Santa. “I let my clientele pay me for what they think my services are worth,” he said. “This pretty much allows me to play Santa without the issue of money getting in the way.”
(Quoted from here...)

Just some interesting food for thought...

If nothing else, a "pay what you think it's worth" type of business could be very competitive in tough economic times... It might be similar to having a very strong money-back guarantee.

Best wishes,

Dien
