What should you give to your beloved on Valentine's Day?
Valentine's Day is just around the corner... Which makes you think...
What should you get your beloved on that day? I just read an interesting article about some interesting recent research... Using surveys of students from San Francisco State University, researchers found that students who had bought themselves a material gift, were less happy about the purchase 3 months later than students who had bought themselves an experience... That suggests that, for Valentine's Day, it's better to organize a candle-lit dinner (which is an experience) or go parachuting (another experience!), rather than buying your beloved a beautiful watch (which is a material gift)... What do you think? Here are a couple articles about this, if you would like to read them... http://www.cnn.com/2009/HEALTH/02/10...s.possessions/ http://www.newsday.com/news/health/n...,2820458.story - Dien |
Re: What should you give to your beloved on Valentine's Day?
The best Valentine gift is the same as you'd give the rest of the year: the most kind, thoughtful, and loving YOU that you can give. Seriously, if you begin there you won't go wrong no matter your choice because you'll be thinking in terms of what THEY will enjoy or prefer. Forget yourself and do whatever you are certain will please your beloved.

But every one won't think like this nah..?? Gifts won't completely express our love but they will be like token of memories..that's all.

Take Her to Electrified Dance Club-Dancing Creates Electricity
Dear Dien,
Thanks. Here are a couple Green WAys to celebrate Valentines day. Either take her for a night out - where your dancing literally creates electricity. Or Replace your kitchen floor - with these Electricity generator squares - sell power back to the grid. Glenn P.S. - These GREEN Dance Clubs are in Australia now too. =========== http://www.sustainabledanceclub.com/...p?t=newsd&n=72 |
