Faxing
Who is up to date on the Faxing laws?
I notice that many associations put their member directories online. I want to fax them with a special offer because they are a member of that association. Is this legal? What about if I hired my neighbor's kid to fax one to a time with a custom cover sheet for each person? Thanks for the help! Matt |
Re: Faxing
Even if you customize the faxes, they are still unsolicited.
I'm not a lawyer -- but I think you need *written* permission from *each place* first, to do what you plan. In other words -- a BIG PAIN. The only exception is faxing to places with whom you have an already existing 'business relationship.' Again, that's how I understand the law -- but I am not a lawyer. I'd suggest consulting a lawyer, before you proceed. -- TW |
