Who is up to date on the Faxing laws?

I notice that many associations put their member directories online. I want to fax them with a special offer because they are a member of that association. Is this legal?

What about if I hired my neighbor's kid to fax one to a time with a custom cover sheet for each person?

Even if you customize the faxes, they are still unsolicited.

I'm not a lawyer -- but I think you need *written* permission from *each place* first, to do what you plan.

In other words -- a BIG PAIN.

The only exception is faxing to places with whom you have an already existing 'business relationship.'

Again, that's how I understand the law -- but I am not a lawyer.

I'd suggest consulting a lawyer, before you proceed.

Seriously consider using Endless other marketing methods and communications before applying any Fax marketing into your business plans Unless you've previously acquired permission and approval from each business...
