Anyone else interested in forming either a chatteling group or toll positions?

In the last couple of days I've rec'd a ton of email from people who are interested in "chatteling" or TOLL positions. I've offered to introduce them via email to each other, but I don't have the time.

So, if you are interested in "connecting" with other people who are either "chatteling" and want to share experiences, or with other people who are active in seeking a "Toll Position", then I suggest you post here so other like minded people can connect with you...IF you want them too.

You can share your experiences, stories and help each other out.

So? Anyone want to "connect" with other chattelers or tollers? Let the world know, ok?

For the small chatteler

Join freecycle.org

Many great things there offered for free....you can turn around and sell them on local classified sites.

Tip...unless you have buyer without posting on the classifieds hold the items you get from this group for 7 - 10 days before advertising them....you don't want to get banned from the group for gettting the free and reselling it.

Let's talk Toll Positions

I would love to discuss Toll Positions and how to obtain them, with anyone that is truly interested.

I'm interested in a chatteling group for sharing information and techniques.

Here's two good sources for chatteling:
http://www.trade-a-plane.com/
http://www.rockanddirt.com/

Both have online and print publications 3 times a month.

Hello All:
I am brand new to this forum and recently received a copy of Gordon's
Beginner's Guide to Chatteling. After asking Gordon if he knew of any
Chattelers forum (to get ideas from and ask questions from others that
are involved). He made the suggestion why not ask this forum?

There are already fantastic posts of interest and ideas that have not
occurred to me. Are there any more members that are interested in the
value of forming a qroup for this purpose? Thanks in advance.

I WON'T be participating, however, here's TODAYS finds.

I will NOT be participating in any groups formed, so I want to clear the air about that. There are some people who "fly low" on the forum, and they are putting chattel deals together and a couple are progressing on their TOLL positions, Bob Blagg would be a good person to contact regarding TOLL positions and how to locate potential tolls.

The number one question I get asked is "What do I buy?". And in the Chattel Report, The Sprint to Freedom, I show how to look for DOLLARS and not products. But, here are today's finds, that I've either set up appointments for this afternoon or tomorrow to go and look at, OR I've at least contacted these people with my interest.

http://akroncanton.craigslist.org/mcy/1082151908.html TOMOS moped. I have a dealer at the end of my street who can work on these and they sell quickly.

Worth taking a look at, and if nothing else, I'll eat lunch at the Hartville Kitchen so as not to waste a trip.

If this RV doesn't smell or need underbody work, it could be a very quick turn around.

http://akroncanton.craigslist.org/bfs/1081558658.html These are from an "imprinting" business...might be good to make sample MUGS for restaurant giveaways (If the T shirt printer had been available, I would have snagged it).

http://akroncanton.craigslist.org/pho/1074465943.html Still a bread and butter item. I'll try to get a lower price, but I have people who teach at U of A and KSU nearby who have students in need of cameras.

PS. It's Spring Break. In about 2 months, thousands of college students will be leaving the schools, and leaving a lot of "junk" behind...and you know what they say about one man's junk.

None of these things will take much time to look at, and there is potential there to make a week's wages in a few hours of time.

Does anyone sell at flea markets?

I have a client and a friend from Texas, who was out of a job and needed some money fast.

While we were discussing the problem, I asked him if he had ever sold at flea markets. He said he had always thought about it but never knew where to get products, without selling the same thing as everyone else.

So we brain stormed and found a possible Toll Position product, so he invested $50.00 in a booth space and setup for a weekend.

In that two day period he made $5,000.00 after all expenses and he has repeated that same process probably 4 or 5 times since then, with the same results.

Even though he has found a full time job, that keeps him on the road a lot, he wants to setup again this summer.

All we did was take two of Gordon's ideas, chatteling and Toll Positions and combined them to make great money for my client and friend.
