Dumb blind spot on my part -- help?...
I should know the answer to this, but I don't -- re: copyright(s).
I know any work is "copyrighted" upon the moment of its creation (let's call it Level 1) Putting the (C) symbol, the year, then your name - and adding All rights reserved bumps it up another level. But what's the procedure for the NEXT level? The "real" official level? Get a form from the library of congress? Send it in with the work + some $$? What are the steps? -- how long does it all take? Do I wind up with some documentation (THEY send to me -- as proof of copyright)?? Please advise! I've only ever taken the first two "poor man's" steps. Thanks!! -- TW |
