I need help from my fellow Sowpubbers...
 

I haven't posted anything in a while. Been trying to re-group at the house with my wife. I've been busy trying to keep my head above water and not drown financially.

I was hoping some of you could give me some advice about my ebay listing, as well as my video that I posted today on youtube.

I'm trying to drive more traffic to my ebay listing. That's why I've posted to youtube.

This is my first time to post anything to youtube. I've followed some teachings I have in a youtube book/course I have. I did everything I was supposed to. Tags, description, all of it.

Anyone know how long it takes for youtube to list/index the video? I'm seeing other videos similar to mine on the first page that do not seem anymore different than mine as far as tags, description, etc.

I've gone through the first 6 pages and I still don't see my video coming up.

I know it's all about keywords to get on the first few pages so I'm working on that as well.

I looked at two of your competitor's listings, one with 623 views and one with 26,207 views. The high count was from March and the other was from July. I'd say it takes some time to get the views, and you just posted yours today.

In my limited experience, YT goes almost exclusively by the title of your vid. Make sure that title is what people are searching for, exactly. it seems to, as is.

Quick Tips for you and others interested in YouTube etc. etc...

Even if you can't afford or aren't interested in Chad's “Quality” courses and Knowledge...

Including some Answers to your Current questions and other ideas...

Thanks Bozo, TW, and Phil. Everyones input was helpful. I must have done something right. After one day of listing to youtube, my video is now on the first page for the main keywords I'm using.


My wife helped out by listing the video on her blogs, and facebook account.

I swear, it wasn't even a few hours later and my views to the ebay listing went up and I had a few more phone calls today.

I have a few other things to do yet. I"ll update everyone on my progress as things happen.

Another way to increase the attention yo u get...

Make ten-fifteen 20-50 second videos -- each vid about a different aspect of the car. Body, interior, engine, maintenance records, tires, added features, etc.

Also, you could add the word Chevrolet to the title(s) -- keep what you now have, but ADD the word Chevrolet.

Make every vid have the exact same keywords in the title. Then you will dominate (even more) that search term. All the 'related' vids (on the side) would ALSO be yours!

Also, you could add annotations to the vids that say "Like this car? -- it's for sale on ebay RIGHT NOW -- click on the blue link below for more info!"

Yes, it's more work -- but it will be worth it!
