Making $100,000+ a year from YouTube
Did you know you can make $100,000+ a year from YouTube?
Well, some are doing it! Of course, the key is to have a very popular "channel"... Where you create regular videos (often humorous ones) that people want to watch. (Of course, being humorous isn't always easy!) YouTube (i.e. Google) makes money by showing ads next to your videos. If you're "big" enough, they then can offer you a portion of the profits. Here's an article how one person is doing it.... Natalie Tran... and how she's made an estimated $100,000 from YouTube in the last year... http://www.theage.com.au/digital-lif...ml?autostart=0 If you'd like to see some of Natalie's YouTube videos, you can see them here... http://www.youtube.com/user/communitychannel You can see a lot of her videos listed down the right side of the page... (She does a lot of self-deprecating humor...) According to the article, here are the Top Ten YouTube earners the past year, and what they earned... Top 10 YouTube earners in the past year 1. Shane Dawson - $US315,000 2. The Annoying Orange - $US288,000 3. Philip DeFranco - $US181,000 4. Ryan Higa - $US151,000 5. Fred - $US146,000 6. Shay Carl - $US140,000 7. Mediocre Films - $US116,000 8. Smosh - $US113,000 9. The Young Turks - $US112,000 10. Natalie Tran - $US101,000 If they can do it - why not you? Best wishes, Dien |

How exactly are these people getting paid?

Here are more details on how it all works...

My understanding is, if your videos on YouTube are popular enough, then Google (which owns YouTube) will "cut you a deal." Essentially, you'll earn about 50% of what Google gets in revenue from advertising associated with your videos. Here's an article with more detail on how it all works... http://www.businessinsider.com/meet-...-stars-2010-8# Although Natalie Tran (the #10 biggest earner from YouTube) wouldn't divulge exactly what she's making, in a recent article she did admit that the estimate which was made (i.e. $101,000 in the last year) was a close estimate... It seems rather difficult, probably unless you're some sort of comedian, in addition to knowing your way very well around YouTube with a street-smart mind or knowledge of how to methodically work the system.

From $100,000 To $5 Dollars Thanks for the headsup on youtube. Yes you really can make $100,000 on the net BUT most have not made $1 yet. You have to start somewhere and why not start with $5. Just $5 a day is $1,825.00 a year. So why not plan a project each week that will make you just $5 a day. That will make 52 projects making just $5 a day equals $260 a day. Not bad starting with one $5 project each week. And $260 a day is almost $100,000 a year. It is a lot easier thinking about ways to make $5 a day then trying to hit a home run each day or week Fiverr was the first site that accepted gigs for a fixed price. With Fiverr the fixed price is (what else) $5. You can come up with gigs on any subject you can think of. Take a look at fiverr to see some of the gigs that are listed and see if YOU can do some similar gigs of your own. Just search for Fiverr in Google or any other search engine. There are also many clone sites where you can post your gigs. I have a free report that shows a unique way to make money with these type of sites without spending any money. Also it takes very little time. I thought "How can I make any money by selling items for just $5) when I first came across the Fiverr site. I found out that you can make a lot more then $5 and do it on a daily basis. See my signature for a free report on Fiverr. Best of success, Skip Rosell |
More on Making $100,000+ a year from YouTube - Philip DeFranco
Hi,
Thanks to Phil for reminding me about this thread... If you recall, here are the estimated top 10 earners on YouTube (as of a few months ago)... Quote:
In an earlier post, I talked about no. 10 - Natalie Tran... (See here.) Now, no. 3 on that list, Philip DeFranco, has recently shared more details (on the Reddit website)... He creates a news-based opinion show on YouTube, which you can see here - http://www.youtube.com/user/sxephil . His videos seem to get between 500,000 views and 2,500,00 views! Here are some of the things he's recently written (in response to questions)... Quote:

Here's a link to all the questions, answers, and comments (it's a lot to wade through, since 99% of it are other people's comments)... http://www.reddit.com/r/IAmA/comment...er_that_means/ I think one key point from all this is that he doesn't only make money from Google/YouTube itself paying him (since Google/YouTube also make money from the ads they show as well). He also makes money from external sponsors too. (He mentions these sponsors in his videos - I believe, either as news items or as reviews of their products. The sponsors, in turn, pay him directly.) The estimate that Philip DeFranco makes around $181,000 from YouTube does NOT include sponsorships - which suggests he actually makes more than this... This is also strongly hinted at in his comments above! In fact, he hints that he regularly takes in over $100k a month... However, elsewhere he also mentions that nowadays, he hires 5 staff for his YouTube business (including 2 video editors), so it's not all pure profit. He also holds competitions for giveaways - people have to leave comments on his videos to enter the competition. I'm sure that - over time - this helps to boost his number of viewers even more! It is a very clever business model for making money from YouTube! Best wishes, Dien |

Re: Making $100,000+ a year from YouTube
After my first video got about 50K views youtube emailed me offering to pay me a small amount per click on ad's on my videos.. Cant have any copy righted materials in it but more than just funny videos informational videos are huge..
I am working on guides to some of the hardest boss's on a game I play. There are several other guides already, however they are generally 10 minute detailed guides that me and anyone else with ADD will lose focus on...... so my niche is going to be Quick easy (full) guide of how to do the boss's. How to " anything " make great youtube videos and if your doing guides (or any videos) on something you are passionate about, you should do very well. Making a couple thousand a month on youtube is very viable! |
