Finders fee business

Does any sowpuber's operate Amy kind of finders fee business?

I've been looking at ways to use craigslist as a way of creating extra income.

What I found, is that you can find both the buyer and seller right in the same site. That solves a big problem right there. However connecting the buyer and seller while still making a fee is my next hurdle.

For example.

I found a place that has quite a bit a soil it needs to get rid of. And right over in the next county I found a company that's looking to buy that same kind of soil. So I'm wondering how I could set up a finders fee.

Any suggestions?

Hey Phil,

I read J.F. Straw's info and I got a lot of tips from it. I even tried it out and it worked as far as the matching goes. I have buyers and sellers. My problem still is my fee, and how I get paid.

He said to charge for access to your roledex of buyers and not to try to sell anything. I'm not a broker or agent. Just charging for getting the two party's together. But I just don't know how to come up with the fee.

I'll get j.f. Straws full course once I can spare the cash.

For now, getting this started will help me get to that point.

Also, I emailed j.f. Straw for some suggestions, have yet to get a response.

Oh wow, I can totally see where you're coming from--and I've never thought about it before! Because yes, people will refer you for free, but THEY get nothing out of it. People aren't usually that greedy for money, but it would nice to be able to say "thank you" for their referrals and giving you business.
