Gordon Alexander asked me to stop by and tell you how....
 
I made $4,500 dollars last month giving speeches, and how you can too. Actually this is a headline I am testing in a couple of offline magazines' ( classified section) One ads includes a web address, the other doesn't. Does anyone have any ideas on how to help me make more sales from this ad? Gordon has offered me a couple and suggested that I write and ask here as well. I would appreciate any help you can give. Hi Mike,

As far as overall sales are concerned, why not
incorporate a shopping cart into your site?

That would certainly make it easier for people
to order when visiting.

*Note* I think your headline is *very good*, but
as you know that is the attention getter ONLY.

You must have a strong sales message to follow
a compelling headline that leads into the rest
of your sales process. I'm sure you already
know this but it bears repeating.

Here's another suggestion...

Direct interested parties to an autoresponder
which will give these people a "mini-course" in
making some serious part-time dollars on the
public speaking circuit. There are any number of
free follow up autoresponders available you could
use to test this method out.

can your product be broken down at all
 
if so perhaps you can offer a taste of what you have to offer for a 'goodwill deposit' of say $30. then if they like this they can order the whole product for $whatever with the $30 deducted.
if they dont then they can return the product and get a refund.offer an unlimited guarantee so they have a lifetime to return the product
You will find you will get a lot more orders as the customers will see it only as a 'goodwill deposit' so in their subconcious they are not actually parting with their money. also returns as always will be minimal as again in their subconcious there is no rush to return the product as they have a lifetiem guarantee so the product will probably be forgotten.
obvioulsy the minority will forget it the majority will want the full version for $ more and backend sales opportunities.

re the ad, is the wording the whole lot??? ie from Gordon Alexander to how you can too?
if so no disrespect to Gordon but will everyone who sees the ad know who he is and what Gordons reccommendation really carries?
