Hi,

Yes, we thought we'd give this profiles idea a try. What do you think?

You can add your profile from the link to Create a Profile at the top of the forum. Show everyone your unique charm. :)

And you can view the profiles which are already there from the "Vew Profiles" links....

Then, your profile is fully in your control.... You can edit it as often as you wish.

It also means that, once you have a profile, NOBODY but you can post here using your name without knowing your password. It protects your identity on the forum!

It also gives you a chance to link back to your web site....

Please give it a try and let me know what you think! :)

I should also add, that once you have a profile, people can view your profile by clicking on your name in your posts....

(For example, you'll see that "Dien Rice" above is a clickable link in this post....)

And if you want to change your profile, it's fully in your control.... You can edit it or delete it any time you like....

Please give it a try and let me know what you think.... I figured this would add to the "community" atmosphere.... :)

Hi, all - I am a new visitor to the forum and think it's a great idea to have the profiles section. I'll add mine in a few weeks - but I wondered if you'd thought of including a link on the individual's profile page back to the board/list of profiles? Would save lazy old me using the back button!! ;-)

Isn't it easy to be a clever-clogs when you don't have to do the work?!!!!

Yes, please do! You don't need to have a photo if you don't want to (I know some people are shy, or just don't have a photo easily available)....

Also, it's set up so you can easily edit your profile any time when you want to. It's yours to do with what you like.... :)

Heheh, that's a good idea! I'll see if I can implement that.... I'm not sure if I can though, but I'll look into it. This "profiles" thing is actually built into the forum software, it's just that I had the option turned "off"....

But it seems like such a neat idea that I thought I'd turn it "on" and see what everyone thought.... :)
