I think a loss of privacy is inevitable

If this scenario happens, I'll know that Hal will turn me in to Big Bro if I start doing something _really_ bad. So I won't do anything really bad; I don't want to, anyway. And I'll know that no one is starting anything really bad against me. Slightly bad things will be 100% societally acceptable by the time this scenario occurs, or at least that's what I pray (and predict).

Though I won't have privacy from observation, I'll have freedom, with all that implies, and the privacy of my unobservable thoughts.

I support Heinlein's definitions of personal freedom and the duties of the citizen.

Best,

-Boyd

Thought of something else

Hi again,

The vastly improved efficiency with which you will live will give you plenty of time for high touch stuff.

You're right about me, BTW, I don't need high touch, just high tech. I'm perfectly happy living by myself in a room as long as it has a portal to the amazing, the wondrous internet.

Best,

-Boyd
