How do you pronounce that?!? [TV commercials I've seen]...
1) You've seen the product, "Nutella," (from Europe), right? It's a spreadable food item made of chocolate and hazelnuts. The TV commercial insists on pronouncing it: "NEW-TELLA" not "NUT-ELLA" Does that mean it's made from hazelNEWTS?
http://youtu.be/ThIrw_LpuRA 2) A Loreal product called "Loreal Sublime." TV commercial insists on pronouncing it: "Loreal subLEEM" http://youtu.be/UgDTNy1qdqI #1 MIGHT make sense, since the product name is a made up word, so I GUESS it can be pronounced however the company decides it should be pronounced. -- But #2 makes NO sense! SUBLIME is a real word, and it is definitely not pronounced "sub-BLEEM!" -- TW |
