Here's a very creative business, for those who love the beauty of the written word....

Here's an unusual business I've just found out about....

First, a sample....

It all began one evening at a place called La Bou.
People at the counter where talking, just as I was to you.
Before I realized, the time went by, looking at my watch, I had to fly.
Walking to the car side by side, I asked if you needed a ride.
Just like that it all began.
You and I and this master plan.
All the success and all the fortune has come so quickly.
The hard work we put in has paid off.
Now we can relax and enjoy one another.
Just you and I, live our lives as we please, for you are all I need.
I can never stress enough, the love I have for you.
Living day to day is how I know I love you.
I look in your eyes and melt, my heart, body and soul, all for you.
My end will come with you.
So don't ever leave and I'll never end.
Now, I look back and laugh on that day in that Cafe called La Bou.

This is some of the sample poetry from Poetic Moments, a maker of customized poetry.... That one was about a couple's first meeting....

If you have a flair for finesse, and a rapture for rhythm, then you could turn those poetic talents into a business....

I think personalized poetry is a wonderful idea. It's been around for decades, yet it seems perfectly suited for the internet....

You'd be writing personalized poems to give joy for all occasions -- marriage proposals, birthdays, the birth of a new child, anniversaries, and so on.... Anywhere there is love and joy, is a perfect occasion for a personalized poem. :)

There are several of these businesses around on the 'Net....

It sounds like a wonderful idea for those with poetic talents!

So now I'll give this one a try,
And bid farewell, and give a sigh,
As I pen this creative flourish,
I must go eat, I'm under-nourished!

Hmmm.... Maybe I'll get some more practice first.... :)

Ahhhh, Creativity!

Hi Dien and All!

I love to use poetry to get the creative juices flowing. Last week I was being asked for my Bio repeatedly.....and I mean repeatedly.

I ended up writing this poem at Open Mic night and read it there......so I thought just for fun I would post it here as well....

What to write?

A resume, list, accomplishments?
Letters after my name?
Experiences valued by others?

Those people/relationships that mean a lot to me?
Awards? Careers? Roles? Hats?
Chapters of my life that I value?

Bios and Intros, putting the entirety of my life on a page.....

"It all started one late January night as Sunday crossed
to Monday...an Unplanned Child was born/"
Do I want to go there?
Ohhh, noooooooooooo.

Lets try this:

In my Publishing Sales Career, I was always performing at or near
the top, I have boxes filled with plaques to show you.....
My accomplishments on parchment and awards? Perhaps, not sure

A hopscotch game across broken dreams, broken children, marraige,
careers, on the way to my destiny.

Does that work?

Writer, Coach, Inspirer, Website Owner, Publisher, Entrepreneur
Mama Mama Mama Mama
My bio....back to the drawing board!

Have a phenomenal weekend everyone!

Julie, I hope you like this poem....

Julie,

I'm a big fan of your poetry!

Julie, with her heart of joy,
Taking delight in every lasting moment,
Sharing her kindness with those around her,
And speaking in phrases of wonder....

The online world can sometimes be harsh,
Yet a glint of sunlight breaks through the clouds,
Thanks Julie for sharing your warmth,
After the rain, a rainbow shines....

Julie, hoped you liked it. (It was spur-of-the-moment....) :)

I used to write poetry seriously (though I'm not sure if I was any good), and I experimented with different styles, but I haven't written any seriously for many years.... Perhaps the time has come to write (and read) more poetry.... To once again try to capture the world's wonders in a few delightful lines.... :)
