Will "smartwatches" be the new thing in 2014?

If so, it will lead to more opportunities... For example, smart phones led to opportunities - to make and sell groovy smart phone covers, smart phone screen repair businesses, and also the many businesses making and selling apps...

"Smartwatches" - if they take off - will undoubtedly lead to new opportunities too!

yep...and those are expensive for me as a toy ....maybe they will have some use later..

btw...I was in Best Buy yesterday to get my galaxy fine tuned...and was thinking that I had missed an opportunity for some massive discounts as the place was packed! folks waiting in 3 lines to check out ..with big screen tvs, computers, ipads....went to the cell phone area, and there were 25 people waiting to buy phones ! Best Buy is kicking butt, in that store anyway ...talked to the BB rep who told me that they are averaging 125 new cell phone units per DAY...
need to figger out a way to cash in on some of that !

Pay extremely very Close Attention to Advertisers, Advertising revenues, throughout Google, Yahoo etc., etc... and a few other related details, Brainstorming and misc. Numerous mixed, ideas and opportunities... ;)

Here are a couple I picked up...

• Comparing and reviewing smart watches. You could create a website, and potentially make money from ads or from affiliate-type sales
  
• Making videos on YouTube about smart watches. You could make money from Google's Partner Program (scroll down to "Monetize your Videos")... www.youtube.com/yt/partners/

Undoubtedly, there will be more potential opportunities as time goes by...

A couple other ideas... How about a smart watches magazine, or membership website, or even a book which reviews different smart watches...

I believe that smart watches will become a huge market and only continue to grow. I believe that we will also see the development of other so called "smart devices," as well. As technology develops even further and allows us to pack more power into smaller devices the options become almost limitless on what could be created. I do believe that you are correct and smart watches are going to become a very profitable and growing niche market. Will they become the next wave of cell phones and mobile devices? That has yet to be seen, but there will be millions made in the market regardless of where it eventually leads.
