Hi Shawn,

It helps to prevent spam. Otherwise, spammers register and start to immediately spam everybody's mail boxes (which is what has happened in the past).

Also, YOU have selected to NOT receive emails in your profile settings, hinting at, perhaps, you don't want forum spam either, right?

10 is hardly a difficult number to hit with a very little amount of participation.

Maybe, the Warrior Forum is a more appropriate place for you?

I thought his post was juvenile, considering he only needed this one post to be able to use the PM feature. There is a reason, as Dien explained, and we like to protect our members.

I get spam EVERYDAY from the Warrior Forum, which I did NOT opt in to receive.

We want to prevent someone from signing up, then spamming the members.

IF you were a former member here, then you know damn well, for ME, that was a gentle pat on the back, not harsh at all.
