Book recommendation: The Automatic Customer

Full title is The Automatic Customer: Creating a Subscription Business in Any Industry, by John Warrillow. The author has a great conversational style of writing. I'm halfway through it already, and it's been great food for thought.

The main section describes 9 subscription models--can you guess what they are? I'll give you one to start: The Front-Of-The-Line Model. Want the answers? Search for it on Amazon--you can see all 9 models in the Table of Contents (in the "Look Inside" feature), or one of the reader reviews lists them all.

Thanks for the good recommendation.

These are good books (when you search, Amazon serves up related books) and this is actionable info which can be applied today.

In 1993, the Square One Workshops took their present form, and on the Pictogrigm of Finances,

We see in the upper right corner the big 7 financial ideas:

Tolls
Royalty
Residuals
SUBSCRIPTIONS
Syndication
Annuity
Compound

The Internet has given us the most level playing field ever, and we can pick and choose which of the big ideas we want to use.

Dien and I have used SowPub for 15 years, as our TOLL booth online...

We have done several SUBSCRIPTION models, some of which are still in force today.

Thanks for the heads up, I love the idea of the AUTOMATIC customer.

And I've seen it build small businesses very rapidly too.
