An old manuscript in secret code... being published for profit!

There is a strange text, written in a secret code, hundreds of years ago... That nobody's yet been able to crack!

It's called the Voynich manuscript. The evidence is that it was written in the early 15th century.

You can read more about it on Wikipedia...

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Voynich_manuscript

One interesting new development is - a publisher in Spain is going to publish it!

They're only going to print 898 copies... At $8,000 each!

Some cashed-up fan of secret codes might buy one of these (hoping they'll be the one to crack the code)...

It could be profitable for the publisher!

You can see a variety of pages for free online here...

http://brbl-dl.library.yale.edu/vufind/Record/3519597

I thought it was an interesting - and unusual - business, publishing an old book written in a secret code that nobody's cracked yet!

There's more information about it here...

https://www.washingtonpost.com/news/...an-understand/

There could be an opportunity for others to also publish the same manuscript. Or an enterprising person could publish other, old works that are also equally as mystical and mysterious...

Best wishes,

Dien

How about the bible, quran and talmud? Original versions that is. I bet their "code" says something far different than what we read today. In fact, I'd bet they all predicted Trump would win but that's just a guess:D :D :D

Nice post Dien. I guess it shows you can sell anything.

Hi Tom

I think there's a whole "cottage industry" finding a "secret code" in all kinds of ancient works...

I've been interested in that stuff myself! There are always people who will buy it. Everybody wants to know the "secrets!"

Remember the whole "Da Vinci Code" craze? Same kind of thing but in fiction form.

Okay I gotta admit there was a time in my past when I ate this stuff up.

All kinds of theories of the Knights Templar, where the Ark of the Covenant is now, that sort of thing... Okay, I'm still interested in it. How did you drag this out of me? :)

Best wishes,

Dien

More gold than you could ever spend.
Found in the stereograms known as

www.sowpub.com/sq1

Crack the code, and find the treasure.

If a pic is worth a 1000 words, then what are the SQ1 really saying???

GordonJ

PS, maybe I should make them stereograms, hmmm.
