An unusual fashion business...
 

Many women want to start their own line of clothing, or want to create their own brand...

After all, that's what we see so many celebrities do, such as Beyonce, Victoria Beckham ("Posh Spice" of the Spice Girls 1990s girl band), and Mary-Kate and Ashley Olsen...

One woman did it a different way. She started a clothing business for amputees...

When she started, she did alterations. A client would tell her what jeans (for example) she wanted. Then, she would get the jeans, and add a zipper in the in-seam, so that the jeans leg could be unzipped from the knee down. The zipper enables the client to easily put on her prosthetic, then zip it up with the "hidden" zipper, all without anyone else being able to see it!



Since then, she expanded to her own line of clothing, also designed for below-the-knee amputees.

She is a below-the-knee amputee herself. She started the business because finding good jeans she could use was a problem!

It shows an example where, having a problem yourself, and not finding a solution in the market, could be the "seed" for starting your own business, that solves the problem for other people like you...!
