Affiliate Software choices
My Golf website will be launched on April 17, 2001. From day 1, I want to have an Affiliate Program in place (selling e-books, promoting free newsletter etc), because from what I have read, it is one of the best ways to advertise. Anyway, has anyone used any of the following to create an Affiliate site :
1. AssocTrac - Corey Rudl is the author. 2. Groundbreak.com. 3. Clickbank. I am thinking of buying Corey's software, even though it is much more expensive, but, from what I have read, he has me convinced that his product is the best. Comments are welcomed. Thank you. Re: Affiliate Software choices
Hi Ken,
I hope your golf site goes well.... Let us know about it when it's up and running.... :) Speaking of golf, I played a game of mini-golf the other day.... I know it's not the real thing, but I'm working my way there in stages.... :) I haven't used the first two credit card processing services you mention, out of the three I've only used Clickbank.... I think you should consider at least a few different factors.... * Price. This is definitely important. * How many sales do you anticipate? Are you still at the testing stage or not? Some services are very good to use at a testing stage, but become too expensive to use if you have a lot of sales.... * Reliability. I've read about some people who used new credit card processors which gave incredibly low prices, only to get "burned" when the company closed down or didn't mail out checks.... Clickbank, I found, was very reliable, I DID get checks in the mail.... The main drawback of Clickbank which I can think of is that if you make a lot of sales, their charges (I think it's something like 7% + $1, at least last I checked -- so if you sell a $100 item, Clickbank will charge $8) gets too expensive compared to alternatives, and at that stage you should perhaps look towards alternatives.... There's a once-only fee now to "join" Clickbank too.... I joined a while ago when it used to be free. On the other hand, they have a built in affiliate program which you can use if you choose to.... Good luck with the golf site.... :) Please let us know how it progresses and when you are ready to launch! :) Dien |
