Is a Fly-Low Operation Possible Online?
Let me explain
In today's online space, it seems you need to put your face out there, so people know you aren't some bot or something. And having your face on your social media channels will almost turn you into some kind of 15-minute "celebrity" (even in your micro niche) Doesn't that negate a key idea behind the Fly-Low premise, i.e not being a "celebrity"? Has anyone figured out a way to be REALLY Fly-Low online? |
In a word, yes

Yes, they have. Which is why you don't see, read or hear about them. Online or offline. Ever. :) Ron |
That explains it
Still makes me wonder how they do their marketing...

The "Rich Jerk" did it for a while, and few (if any) knew who he was... (Though we now know he was Kelly Felix...) You can use a pseudonym online, and market that way. I don't think it would be that hard to do... To be truly "fly low" (where even the authorities couldn't trace you) I think would be very hard, since it would mean it would be hard to accept credit cards or even checks... Best wishes, Dien |
LOL. What a lesson in marketing!
Thanks for reminding me of Rich Jerk!
That was a study in anti-marketing. I wonder how he pulled it off. Even though he clearly told people off and called them "losers", people kept buying his product. That was one of the big products years ago back when I was new to the Warrior Forum. I recently saw a newer promotion done with Dennis Rodman but it didn't have the allure of the original Rich Jerk. Thanks again for the memories... Quote:

I don't think that it's a study in anti-marketing at all! Marketing has everything to do with what works. What doesn't work isn't marketing and what does is. The fact that he "pulled it off" means that it works. It means that there is something of value there to be understood. I think his success has everything to do with takeaway selling. Takeaway selling is probably one of the least-understood methods of selling, yet it is also one of the most powerful. In fact, I think I am going to start a thread about takeaway selling because it is a subject that I find very interesting. Please look out for it soon! |
The Plot Thickens...
… I've never heard of "takeaway selling"
By anti-marketing, I meant the guy was almost sounding as if he didn't really want you to buy, yet somehow kind of "telegraphed" the sale. I'll love to learn more about "takeaway selling" Thanks Quote:

My own knowledge is really only basic on this subject, and it's something I really should understand better... :) ![]() (Oops, wrong kind of take away! ;) ) Best wishes, Dien |
