Yes, I know he was aboard the Arizona during the attack. And that he himself doesn't talk about that either makes me think that perhaps he was just a very private person. Most other so-called public figures would boast a record like that, but Earl Nightingale didn't, so perhaps he was also a person with that rare quality -- humility.
Some information, such as that on the Pearl Harbor incident, is part of Earl's usual brief "official" bio, and can be found in prefaces to his books, tapes, etc., and on several Web sites. See http://www.nightingaleproducts.com/bios.html for an example. But again, you won't find anything really personal.
