Default Re: Loneliness of the solo entrepreneur...

Hi

Retired people and work-at-home people have about the same adjustment
to make. How to use time and get the most out of it.

I retired a few years ago, and my wood carving hobby, and growing
roses takes up most of my time. I never did like being around a lot
of people, more then three and I would move on.

But things changed when I stopped shaving and having my hair cut.

Before when I went to 7/11 for gas, Wal-Mart, or Home Depot the only
people that talked to me was the people at the cash register, and then it
was "cash or debt" and "paper or plastic".

Now that I stopped saving kids and grown up all turn their heads when
I walk into a store. The kids really think I'm Santa Claus and ask me all
kinds of question, and the grown ups are just as excited.

I found out one thing Santa Claus is on everyone's mind 365 days a year.
Now it June, July and the kids are telling me what to bring them on
Christmas eve.

The grown ups most always ask if I play Santa, and if I don't I should.

So I went from not liking being around a lot of people to, I love being in a
a crowd.

I went to a costume shop to check out what it would cost to rent a Santa
suit. As I'm looking over the suits a customer came up to me and ask for
an appointment to hire me for her Christmas party.

Real bearded Santa's are in demand. If you have or can grow a nice white
beard give it a try.

I'm highly recommended by the Mom's and Dad's to play the roll.

I think I just found a new job. Retirement no more.
