Default Sometimes I wonder...

Sometimes I wonder...
  • Why all the media leans to the political left. Downplaying any left pollies "indiscretions" and making a mountain from a mole hill of the "indiscretions" of any pollie from the right.

Could it be that leftist media appeals to the lowest common denominator, and thus grows larger than right wing media?
  • Why we saw endless "people suffering stories" of how the Kosovars were so hard done by when the Kosovo thing was on, but we haven't seen one story on the atrocities committed by Saddam Hussein against his own people.

James Rubin even said that the US is FAR more justified and legally in their right to go into Iraq now, than when they went into Kosovo under the Clinton Administration.
  • How the rich hollywood celebrities - who make millions of dollars - can turn around and be so anti-capitalist. So against the very "system" that enables them to be rich.
  • Why universities are so rampant with the socialist left.

I can understand it being a ripe ground to "turn" an impressionable mind. But it's absolutely rampant. Like a festering disease.
  • Why so many of the lefties are against wealth and yet have sporting heros who are paid millions of dollars a year. And would not be able to watch their heros on TV or live in stadiums if it wasn't for an enterprising capitalist person to create and sell the TVs and build the stadiums and even pay the wages of the players.
  • Why single moms who are paid to stay home and look after their child, get a discount from day care costs. I thought they were already being paid to look after their child. Why should they be dropping their kid at day care?
  • Why Australian Pay TV runs ads about how wonderful "subscription tv" is?
  • Why Australian TV shows English soccer, Spanish soccer, Dutch Soccer, German soccer and the champions league soccer from Europe, but NO Australian soccer. While telling us the scores of the Aussie soccer matches.
  • Why Australia pays such high petrol prices while we export petrol to 40 countries.
  • Why there is such an anti-cigarette push while alcohol is left alone. I am unaware of anyone getting in a fight after a few cigarettes. I know of no family abuse following cigarette smoking. Not saying it's not bad for you... just why alcohol, which causes a lot of grief to a lot of families for many many years, is ignored. (I do not smoke or drink alcohol, by the way.)
  • Why people will drive ever so slowly while approaching traffic signals - in no rush whatsoever - then put their foot down as soon as the light begins to change so they can get through it.
  • Why I post posts like this. :o)
