Hello My Friends,
It's harder to say NO to a good honest salesperson face to face. It's the face to face interaction that is sometimes the difference between a person pulling out their check book or simplying convincing themselves not to buy.
It's easy to delete an e-mail or toss "Junk" mail in the trash can. A face to face presentation makes you at least listen. With the law of numbers, you'll make sales.
Plus....it's cheaper to have some one knock on doors or make telephone calls than it is to send out letters. With things like the internet and e-mail trying to automate the selling process, it's a breath of fresh air to see a real live person trying to sell products and goods.
Some companies know this and prefer face to face or ear to ear marketing.
I for one love selling computers face to face. It's nothing like showing them a system, looking at their expression of amazement, and collecting "Quick Cash!" from yet another computer deal. A little face to face action....and I walk away with up to $500 cash for the bank account. Now....it's harder to do the same thing through the mail or even on the net.
Good Success...
