Lightbulb How to have a paperless workspace

This New Year - I decided to try going paperless. (My workspace is usually a mess with stacks of papers everywhere - goals, ideas, money tracking, phone numbers, book notes etc)

Its been 10 days to the New Years and the plan is going great. Have tested loads of applications in the last few days and here are my results.

1. New web 2.0 applications that use ajax is much better than downloading a software on your computer (if you have broadband internet).

2. For To-Do lists and goal setting, I tried 4-5 different solutions. And the best one I find is: http://www.rememberthemilk.com/

3. I tried Quicken and other softwares for money tracking. Also tried out the new website wesabe.com (which is cool but doesn't have all the features I require). Finally, ended up creating my own money tracking tool. And its so easy to create a money tracking database using http://creator.zoho.com (it did take me a couple of hours to familiarize myself with their technology and create my own custom money tracking database.)

4. For random ideas, I found this to be best: http://www.stikkit.com

All these solutions are 100% free.

The benefits of going paperless are
a. It allows me to search what I spent or did or planned years back in time
b. It lets me see patterns easily
c. Its cleaner - clutter free

Update: A friend of mine just sent me this link - a website that makes money tracking easier... http://mo.neytrack.in/
