It's the middle of the night where I am (as I write this), and I really need to get to sleep...
Wouldn't it be great if you could squeeze 8 hours of sleep into 2 or 3?
Well, some researchers at the University of Wisconsin-Madison promise just that!
They say with some kind of magnetic stimulation device attached to your head, you can go straight into deep sleep... And squeeze a full night of sleep into 2 or 3 hours...
Who couldn't use more time?

P.S. The other way to get less sleep is possibly through "polyphasic sleep" (also known as "Da Vinci sleep"), where you sleep in naps of 20 to 30 minutes, in 6 equally spaced times per day (for a total of around 3 hours of sleep daily). One guy did it - his journal of his experience is very fascinating...
