I joined in 1988 when I lived in Bradenton. Had an old "beater" Mazda.

While I'd done a bit of drag racing in my younger years, never really did much of anything else.

I ended up winning the Central FL Championship that year. While I'd seen more than one "Hot Shoe" dump it in a turn and wipe out his Monday-Sunday ride, managed to keep mine all in one piece.
