Default Re: Farewell Britain. You will be missed as a Bastion of "Freedom" and WW2 "Anti-Comm

Michael, sorry to hear about the problems but what makes you think we want all the folks who won't stand up and fight for their rights, on their own soil and with their own government, over here in the USA? We've problems enough without inheriting everyone else's problems, too.

If people keep running away from their problems instead of staying and seeing the fight through in their own country, soon there will not be any place to run to. Nobody really wants folks who won't fight for their rights no matter where they be...except tyrants who wish to subjugate them...or naive mother/father earth types who take everyone who cries foul to their hearts saying 'Oh, there's always room for one more'. WRONG!

If agricultural lands (which feed a large part of the world, incidentally) keep being taken over by housing for the multitudes, this country will no longer be the source of many foods to feed ourselves and others. We'll all see a bit of it in microcosm as a result of all the weather devastation to crops this year. Higher prices, unavailabilities, lost jobs to transport, export, import, and sell food products will be pretty widespread due to the situations now prevalent, regardless of the cause.

Stay home, folks, and fight the good fight for what YOU want YOUR government to do/not do. It's a win-win solution for all.
