WebBBS, which is used for this forum, has the option that posts wouldn't appear before it is seen and approved by a moderator.

(We don't use that option here because it would slow things down.... I also haven't tested it, but I did notice that the option seems to be available if you want to implement it....)

Also, it's easy to edit or remove posts (which is how we deal with posts that go against the guidelines)....

That's why we chose to use it....

I don't think it takes up a lot of bandwidth....
