John,
I started our local BizGuide a little over a year ago. I signed the first 10 businesses for $99.00 a year and the rest for $199.00 a year. I just raised it to $299.00 and will probably hold this price point for a year.
Next week, I am picking up information and taking digital pictures from the new businesses who have come aboard. A jeweler, 2 realtors, mortgage broker, furniture store, carpet cleaning service and a limo service.
Three of the above businesses are referrals from current BizSite owners. Now, why are we growing when other business directory related sites are not generating income? Simple, we have a business and marketing plan that we follow, we run a business - not a hobby, we deliver on time what we promise (three days from paper to the Web) and we treat our customers like family.
Click on the link below to see how our system works. Our system is duplicatable and can be set up easily in other states. Our system comes with marketing materials, screen videos and support.
And the most important thing of all: A lot of people on these forums need to get off their duff and do something.. don't procrastinate and tell yourself you're not ready.
You ARE ready.
You have more going for you than you realize. Especially since you have access to the interactive mind of Sowpub.
Take care,
Rick Hunter
