I researched alternatives after I posted here to see if I could find anything and found out that there are a lot of people that are pretty upset with blogrush. More than just a few. Not really that big of a deal, I just removed it from all of my blogs, but to just simply go into an "ignore everyone mode" isn't a great response. But they're the experts not me.
