Default How the small plant of your thoughts can grow into a mighty tree of your dreams come true....

Hi Taylor,

Thanks for taking the time to share your thoughts.... It's true that who we surround ourselves with is one of the most important decisions we can make...

Surround yourself with sucessful people, and you'll probably find you are more successful too... And I think it's also important to surround yourself with those who will be supportive of your quest to fulfil your dreams....

The other side of that equation is also who YOU are... You should also try to be the supportive type yourself.... That way, you're also helping others around you....

You've seen my brother Thomas post here, he and I have this kind of relationship, we're very mutually supportive of each other. I believe we're both much more successful than we would be if we weren't like this...

Also, Gordon is like that too... He'll wisely share his experience, but I've found he is a very supportive type of person.... The kind of person I really enjoy being around, because he's so supportive....

And I know that Taylor you're this type of guy too... :) That's one reason why your forum is such a great place.... :)

And I've had many correspondences with others online who are like this too....

But even so, every now and then I find I have to defend myself from others who want to say "you CAN'T do this" or "CAN'T do that"....

It's not just now with my business plans and ideas, but it also happened before with my academic career.... I really dislike fighting with people, but when some of the people around you try to criticize you for pursuing your dreams, what can you do but answer back? If you listen to them too much, your dreams will vanish like a withered plant starved of water....

But with nurturing, those dreams can become reality, like a small plant grows into a mighty tree...

The hard part is, I know that many of these people often *mean* well, sometimes they really think they are doing you a favor.... But it's important to realize that they are NOT doing you a favor... They are just thinking too small...

Anyway, thanks Taylor.... I appreciate your comments.... :)

Cheers,

Dien
