Default Re: Affinity Groups.....to recognize and ponder the power of ownership.....

Hello Gordon and all

My first thought (I re-read Remote Hynosis yesterday....) was an Affinity group could be described as a group of people who respond to the same brick through the window.....

Great question and a mindmap in the making....right off the top of my head I can think of a few....

Parents who are potty training
Women Netrepreneurs
Women Electronic Publishers
Women....any special interest area of mine.
Did you notice on Ricky's list how FEW women there are? I participated in a Chat a few months ago of Women in Business. I gave them Dien's site with the list of all the Discussion boards...I told them to get out here! Learn and Share Knowledge....*shrugs* Oh well!
HDT Junkies
Former Government Employees who are now Entrepreneurs
Teleclass Instructors
Adult Educators
Etc Etc Etc.

We should all accept your challenge, Gordon. Its very eye opening on several planes. One, to see the large number of affinity groups we belong to. Secondly, it really got my mind running as far as a wider possibility for my future.

Yesterday I was chatting with a friend of mine and she was laughing at me...she said, "Julie, you are so involved in SO many areas!" and I responded: "It might be too much for some people, but for me it is how I thrive." With that, for some people the possibilities created might seem overwhelming.

My suggestion for that is to simply be gentle with yourself. You don't HAVE to go for broke on several projects or areas simultaneously. Simply enjoy the best of the best.

Now I need to go back to one of my affinity groups....

Decluttering Mommies who assist with homework and pretend to be eating wooden cake at the same time......
