"IT" is an invention; the article says "...another investor, Credit Suisse First Boston, expects Kamen's invention to make more money in its first year than any start-up in history, predicting Kamen will be worth more in five years than Bill Gates. [Steve] Jobs told Kamen the invention would be as significant as the PC, the proposal says."

I suspect "IT" is an improved battery, which, and listen up here, IS THE #1 NEEDED INVENTION IN THE WORLD. Why do I think an improved battery is the most needed invention? Because the world gets unlimited energy from the Sun in the form of sunlight: as Heinlein said first "It's raining soup. All we need is a bucket."

I don't know what "IT" is but I know I want one!!!!! :-)
