I think your definition of "intrusive" contrasts with what most folks think "intrusive" means.
If you ask folks if forum signatures are intrusive - they will say no.
If you ask folks if blinking forum signatures are intrusive - they will say yes.
Intrusive = forced / unwelcome interruption. At least thats what I take the word to mean. It would be helpful if you mention what the word means for you yoo.
