Hey Jason....a few yrs ago I used the sign shown below....in which RE Agents could place their "Listing Sheets".
There are other types of sign holders (Wood and Metal) BUT....I wanted to use these "Metal" things for 2 reasons;
1) They cost me $20 in lots of 10 (still do)
2) They held MY "
Special Listing Sheets"
What are my "
Special Listing Sheets"?
These are sheets of 60lb Vellum Bristol (I liked the "feel" of these, stiff but not too much).....with MY....
FULL Color Ads of businesses wanting to be seen by "People Looking for Homes"!....on one side and Blank on the other.
I provided these for
FREE to the RE Brokerage for the FREE use of the Agents....for them to take some and PRINT THEIR LISTING and run them thru their personal Inkjet printers (which they ALL have at their desks)
So....when they agents printed up 20 or 30 (they got from the stack I provided)....they could
fill my Sign Holders.....making them available to "
People Looking for Houses"!
The RE Agents gave me their choices of;
Pest Control Co, Carpet Cleaner, Painter, Interior Decorator, Landscaper, Plumber, Electrician, Roofer....etc....ANY business OR profession (I even had ads for Accountants, Doctors, Dentists, Chiropractors etc)
So....when I phoned these potential advertisers and told them they could have THEIR AD....on the Back of Listing Sheets....that would
be SEEN and LOOKED AT by people hunting for houses.....they joined GLADLY....and...
PAID ME A HANDSOME FEE!
Along with the Metal Signs....I used Wood Signs and attached a Metal Listing Sheet Box to it (see photo)
And....when I saw how well this program was going....I made up a
Free-Standing Display I placed in Hotel Lobbies. This was a wooden free standing sign with a 2ft by 3ft frame (with clear plexiglass front) attached at the top.
In the Frame was
8 Listing sheets....4 across and 2 down for which Agents or RE Offices
PAID ME A NICE HEFTY FEE....every 3 months (see photo)

So....as far as "What To Charge"....I'd go in and ask the owner of mgr of a few RE Offices. With MY "Listing Sheet Program"....I provided the Metal Signs and Boxes at no charge.
So....looks like the RE Market is starting to come back a little. And...two things are
FOR SURE;
1) People are STILL Looking to Buy Houses....in YOUR Area
2) Businesses, Professionals AND Medicos WILL GLADLY PAY to be seen by "House-Hunters"!

PS....one other way to make some GOOD MONEY....dealing with Real Estate Signs....is to provide a "Hanger Sign" below the regular "wood sign". On this "Hanger" (I can't find my photos) is placed the URL of the WebPage with the info about the property. ex:

www.356SEJackson.com! YOU buy the domain (cheap domains.com)... make the Hanger and charge the Agent a fee for 3 mos.
